Jennie Beach, MSW, LICSW
Independent Contractor
Therapist for ages adolescents 12 and older and adults
Hi, I’m Jennie.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. My role is to provide a steady, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to feel more grounded and connected to yourself and your life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that meaningful change happens through safe and trusting relationships. I work to create an environment that feels respectful and non-judgmental, allowing clients to share openly at their own pace. Together, we explore patterns, increase emotional awareness, and develop skills that support both immediate relief and long-term growth. Therapy is tailored to each client, with careful attention to their goals, values, and experiences.
Why I Do This Work
I am drawn to this work because I believe people have an inherent capacity for healing when they feel supported and understood. I became a therapist to help clients make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion. I find it especially meaningful to work with adolescents and young adults as they navigate important periods of growth and transition, as well as with adults seeking balance, understanding, and change.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Clients often describe our work together as steady, thoughtful, and supportive. Sessions are structured enough to feel purposeful while remaining flexible and responsive to what feels most important in the moment. I listen closely, offer gentle guidance, and help clients build insight and practical tools they can use in daily life. My intention is for therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest, feel understood, and gradually move toward greater ease and confidence.
My Professional Background
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan and am licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. My professional experience includes work in school-based and outpatient mental health settings, where I have supported adolescents, young adults, and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, identity development, and life transitions.
My clinical work integrates evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspectives. These approaches allow me to support clients in understanding their inner experiences, developing emotional regulation, and finding a greater sense of balance and self-compassion.
I am currently accepting new clients and offer both in-office and telehealth sessions. I am licensed to practice in Minnesota.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading, and learning to play tennis as an adult — an experience that continues to reinforce the importance of patience, self-compassion, and showing up consistently, even when progress feels slow.
