Hannah Holwell, MSW, LICSW
CBT-Trained Therapist
Hi, I'm Hannah Holwell.
I’m a psychotherapist who enjoys working with adults, often those in high stress, challenging roles such as the medical field, entrepreneurs and in leadership positions. I work with my clients to identify strengths, patterns of behavior and beliefs about self and the world that impact how they function in both relationships and the workplace. My goal is to reduce stress, create balance and help facilitate positive growth, leading my clients to feel happier, more connected and in charge of their lives.
My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
Therapists and clients are no different. We’re all human. We all have stress and we all thrive in connection. I've been through many of the same experiences as you, and this has shaped who I am and also how I help. Life experiences and professional training enable me to quickly identify what might be helpful to you, so we can move forward together.
We all have our unique challenges and stress is universal. I love being a therapist, as it gives me the privilege to come along the side of you and both witness and facilitate positive change. For that, I am grateful.
Helping People is What I Look Forward to Every Day
Being a therapist is a privilege. I love helping people identify goals, watching their mood improve and witnessing them achieve more fulfilling lives.
The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.
I Have a Genuine Interest In Others and Bring an Open, Non-judgemental Presence to Sessions
- Uncover what's under the surface
- Sense what other people may be thinking and feeling
- Be flexible on the path of discovering what's going on
- Inspire hope for getting better
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people through difficult and stressful times.
Our Sessions are Focused on You
Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to gain clarity, identify goals and get started on your path to reclaiming your life.
It’s important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and stay open to any feedback and questions you may have. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As a Therapist,
I Embrace the Following Philosophies
- I believe that you deserve to feel better
- I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work
- I believe that you are strong enough to be present
- I believe that people underestimate their ability to change. It's possible to change. It's possible to enjoy life again.
